Description:
Looking for a self motivated Sr. IT Administrator that will proactively support, manage, upgrade, and design infrastructure technology. This includes but is not limited to administering networks, servers, computer hardware/software, windows applications and security solutions.
Responsibilities:
- Support, maintain and the ability to design core network services like DHCP, DNS, WINS in an Active Directory environment.s
- Develop and maintain documentation of infrastructure deployed to support Windows and associated applications.
- Provide support, maintenance, and upgrades for business applications including MS Exchange Server, QuickBooks, EquityEdge, MS Office, etc.
- Familiarity with Veritas Netbackup for Windows, Ironport Antivirus, Cisco VPN and Firewall, etc is a plus.
- Adhere to IT access-management and change control procedures.
- Stay abreast of industry best practices in risk management techniques and integrate new methods and tools as appropriate
- Administer local area networks composed of multi-vendor systems and a variety of platforms.
- Demonstrated experience with the design and troubleshooting of OSPF networks.
- Demonstrated experience implementing network solutions (preferably experience with Foundry, Cisco, and Juniper gear), computer trouble-shooting, and creative problem solving skills.
- Install, configure and troubleshoot desktop/server systems
- Ability to work both independently and as a contributing team member.
- Ability to handle a wide variety of tasks.
Requirements:
- 7+ Years System Administrator experience
- Active Directory
- MS Exchange 2003 & 2007
- Windows 2000/2003 Server
- TCP/IP, DHCP, WINS, DNS
- Windows 2000 Professional
- Windows XP
- MS Office Suite
- Effective support of end users
- Networking experience (preferably with Foundry, Cisco, and Juniper gear)
- Spam/Antivirus solutions
- Maintain existing HW/SW
- Upgrade HW/SW as appropriate
- Support end user accounts, access controls and VPN access

Experience:
